Research and Travel Fund Application Extension

Dear 2nd –3rd year MES and PhD students,

GESSA has decided to extend the deadline for the September cycle for RTF applications. If you still have not applied for the fund or have some of your documents, and receipts missing and still wanted to submit your application you can still do so.

The deadline for submitting applications has now been extended till no later than October 12th, 2007.

Applications submitted should be returned to GESSA c/o FES Student and Alumni Resource Center (SARC) office no later than 16:30 / 4:30pm on October 12th, 2007.

Dear MESers and PhD students,

Welcome all new and returning students to FES. We hope the fall term is going well for all of you.

GESSA would like to invite you to our next General Meeting on Thursday, September 27th at 17:45/5:45 pm, now relocated to Room 141, HNES building.

This meeting is very important as it will require Graduate students to elect most of their representatives on many internal and external Committees and councils.

Refreshments will also be provided during the GESSA General Meeting.

NEW! Getting Around YorkU and GTA Survival Guide

Welcome incoming and continuing FES graduate students!

It’s finally here! As requested from the GESSA survey results in Spring 2007, FES Graduate Students now have their own survival guide. Mostly non-academic based, the guide will provide essential information to what’s happening and where to go on and off York University – Keele campus and within the Greater Toronto Area. Call for Prospective Candidates
We are now seeking for interested and energetic graduate students to represent GESSA in the some of the various committee and councils positions available at FES and at YorkU for the 2007-08 school year. The prospective candidate(s) will be confirmed at the next General Meeting (GM) in accordance of Regulation C of the GESSA Constitution.
